Habit Stacking

Habit stacking is all about leveraging the behaviours you’re already doing and seamlessly adding new habits on top of them.
 
It’s like building a skyscraper of positive habits, one floor at a time, until you’ve constructed an impressive tower of personal growth and success.

Here’s the formula:
🔸 After [current habit], I will [new habit].
After brushing my teeth I will do 3mins long Pilates Core activation routine.

Simple, right?
Let’s break it down:
 
🔹 Identify a behaviour or routine that you already do consistently. Maybe it’s brushing your teeth, making your morning coffee, or taking a lunch break.
 
🔹 Next, choose a new habit that you want to incorporate into your life. It could be anything from drinking more water to practising mindfulness or exercising regularly.
 
🔹 Then, stack that new habit onto your existing routine. For example,
 
After I brush my teeth, I will do 10 minutes of stretching.’

To track your progress and stay accountable, try creating a habit scorecard. List all your habits and give them a score—minus zero or plus—based on whether they’re helping or hindering your goals.
 
This simple tool can provide valuable insights into your daily habits and help you make adjustments as needed. There is no judgment 🙂

Remember, clarity is key when it comes to habit stacking. Avoid ambiguity and be specific about when and how you’ll perform your new habit. Instead of saying, ‘I will run in the morning,’ try,
